Additional Tips for a Stronger Visa Application:

To strengthen your application, we suggest including the following:

  • A brief summary letter explaining:
    • The purpose of your visit to Canada
    • Why you wish to attend the conference
    • What you hope to learn from the event
  • How you intend to apply the knowledge in your work or community.
  • If employed, a letter of introduction from your company or organization, confirming your position and support for your attendance.

If your application requires a personal interview, be sure to bring:

  • Your conference registration confirmation
  • Your hotel booking confirmation
  • A letter of invitation (if required)
  • Any other documents requested by the consulate

You are responsible for all fees and expenses related to your visa application.

What if my visa request is denied?

If your visa is denied, you may cancel your conference registration and request a refund, subject to the terms outlined in the BeaCon Annual Conference Refund Policy.

Can Help One Another Canada Foundation / BeaCon Annual Conference assist with my visa?

Our involvement is limited to:

  • Providing your registration confirmation
  • Issuing a letter of invitation (if needed)
  • Supplying the Government of Canada with a list of registered attendees

Final decisions regarding visa approval rest solely with the visa office.

How do I get my letter of invitation?

If your country of residence requires a visa, a letter of invitation will be included in your email confirmation.
