Terms and Conditions for BeaCon Annual Conference Website

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.beaconference.ca
(the "Site") and participation in the BeaCon Annual Conference (the "Conference"), organized by Help One Another Canada Foundation (“Organizer,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Site and registering for the Conference, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Site or participate in the Conference.


1. General Information
The Conference is an international event focused on business inclusion across various industries and sectors. The Site provides access to information regarding the Conference, registration, speaker details, event schedules, and other related content.


2. Registration and Conference Participation

  • Eligibility: To participate in the Conference, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are
    under 18, you must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian to register and
    participate.
  • Registration Process: You must complete the registration form on the Site with accurate,
    up-to-date information. You are responsible for ensuring the correctness of your
    registration details.
  • Conference Fees: All fees for attending the Conference are outlined on the Site. Payment
    must be made in full before your registration is confirmed. Fees are non-refundable,
    except as required by applicable law.
  • Access to Event Materials: After registration, you may receive access to event materials,
    such as presentation slides or video recordings. These materials are provided solely for personal, non-commercial use.

 

3. Use of the Website

  • License to Use the Site: You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for lawful purposes related to your participation in the Conference.
  • Prohibited Activities: You agree not to:
    o Use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
    • Post or share harmful, defamatory, or offensive content.
    • Engage in activities that may damage, disable, or impair the Site.
    • Use automated tools to access the Site in a manner that violates these Terms.

    limited to text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and multimedia, are owned by the Organizer
    or third-party licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
  • Conference Materials: You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any Conference materials provided through the Site without prior written consent from the Organizer.

and partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the Site, participation in the Conference, or violation of these Terms.

Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site or participation in the
Conference shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, unless otherwise required by law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

As a condition of your attendance at the BeaCon Conference, you, you “the Registrant”, acknowledge that you have read and fully understand the Terms and Conditions outlined above.
By checking off the box below, you accept these Terms and Conditions, and agree, knowingly and voluntarily, to be bound by them for the duration of the Conference.
